From time to time (read--whenever I'm bored at work and want to make Mary's day a bit more surrealistic), I have written short snippets from Gargoyles and other shows and sent them to The Redhead. Here are a few of what I call "Ten Second Tales", for your amusement:

"Mother," Angela said dubiously, "I'm pretty sure Elisa told me that on Halloween night, the children wore scary costumes and the adults gave them candy, not the other way around."

"Whatever," Demona mumbled, rummaging through the bags. "Ahhh...Milky Way. Excellent."

Demona settled into the oversized chair facing the fireplace, sipped her cocoa and let her fingertips drift along the long silver barrel of her gun.

This year, "naughty" would be negotiable.

Owen Burnett turned his attention from the happy scene of the Xanatos family posing for a photo with Santa to regard the "elves".

"Wannabes," he muttered disdainfully.

*****

"Look, Father!" Angela declared excitedly as she landed with her prize. "I caught a burglar! He was trying to break into a house through the chimney, but I caught him by his big black belt!"

*****

"Face me, Santa, if you dare!"
